Hi visitor(s),
I'm so glad to be back home. I missed my bed! I was on vacation in London from the 14th till the 19th. I went straight to bed, after I read my emails and mail when I came home. I did it even though I was beat, so my apologies for the weird replies if you find it unreadable.
I was very surprised, that London was so sunny and every day it became warmer and warmer. I had fun there for most of the time. I love the people and the surroundings, but sleeping wasn't that great... I'm a light sleeper and not everyone in the party was a quiet sleeper unfortunately... I've also received a tan (what isn't that bad, but the sweating was), while walking around in London and also a pair of sore feet. I'm glad my feet are feeling better now and that I didn't have any blisters... Continueing about the fun times...
Monday, we went to see the musical 'Mary Poppins'. Unbelievable how they made the stage and the decor. Their acting and voices were great too. I'm so glad I bought a souvenier, since it was forbidden to make pictures.
The chinatown in London is very different from my hometown, but they did have a lot of sushi restaurants and plenty of eating bars like 'EAT' and 'Mark & Spencers simple food' where you can buy sushi, delicious sandwiches and salads. I love to eat fish/seafood, so every opportunity was a strike.
The tower of London was smaller, than I expected. Just like most of the towers the basements were the unattractive places to be. If it wasn't for the loo's it's for the tortures... Since the tower of London was famous for the beheadings, there were a lot of those torture places... The crown jewels were the high points of the day. The crowns and staffs were beautiful and all different from each other in stones, form and weight. Still I can't believe that people actually walked around with them, since they are so heavy.
London has a lot of gardens and parks, so we went to visit them on Sunday. I loved the Kew Gardens with its different climat gardens and plants. I wished there were more flowers though. To much to tell about London, so I'll leave it with these. I don't want to bore you *smile*.
A heat wave came and covered the west of Europe. My hometown is covered by it as well. I came home and slept and woke up with the feeling of "this feels familiar, but I'm in my own bed?". I stood up and I opened my window and I thought: "It's sunny and warm here as well." *Yawn* *Going straight to the bathroom.*
Hmm... I wonder, what my friends are doing at the moment... One is on vacation, another hiding from the sun or are they all just working? *Going to email them*
