Once a upon a time, there was a little girl who was looking for her pet bunny Fluffy. She looked in her room, under her bed, in the cupboards, behind her cuddly toys, but she could not find her.
“Have you seen, Fluffy?”, she asked her cuddly toys with a sad face.
She used her mind to move all their heads, which made it look like as if they responded to her with shaking heads. She decided to search outside her room, to trace back her steps from yesterday before she went to sleep.
She opened her huge door and closed it behind her, then she walked through a long hallway that was lit by torches. The flames were moving left to right, when she passed them even though they were covered by a glass bell. Her energy was high, she was determined to find Fluffy no matter what. Half an hour later, she arrived at a square with two stairs one leading up and one down.
She stood still and thought: “I was playing with Fluffy upstairs with the dragons.”
She ran up the stairs and was greeted by dragons, who were standing on guard.
“Have you seen, Fluffy?”, she asked still with a sad face.
The dragons: “No, we haven’t seen Fluffy. You can look around if you like, but it is late and you should be in bed. If your father finds out, that we let you wander on the roof at this hour he will not be pleased with us.”
“I’ll look somewhere else then. Thank you.”
The dragons: “I hope you can find her.”
The little girl has walked from the eighth floor to the roof and now she has arrived at the fifth floor. She reached the floors by stairs, which took one and a half hours by foot. The fifth floor is where high ranked soldiers of her father’s army reside. They are tall compared to her and look like regular men and women, but they are not. It is night time and at this hour some of them are especially sharp and tempered. Compared to the low ranked soldiers, who reside on the third and fourth floor they were loyal to their king. Therefore they showed respect to the king’s family and so also to her. The high ranked soldiers were involved in their own matters, but when they saw her walk in; a little girl with sleepy eyes, long black hair dressed in a cute strawberry patterned pyjama and wearing cute pink slippers. They became less rude to each other and watched their language. They stared at her for a few seconds, usually she would say “hi” with a smile and they could go on with their own business. Only this time, she was almost crying while she asked: “Have you seen, Fluffy?”
All the soldiers stared at each other, than one of them said: “I’ll help you look for her. You shouldn’t be walking around here alone at this hour.”
The soldier picked her up and put her on his shoulders, a few others decided to help her look as well. All of them walked next to her, while they looked around. Unfortunately, they could not find Fluffy on the fifth floor.
The little girl was now very tired and she whispered: “Where are you, Fluffy?”
One of the soldiers said: “Where did you go next?”
The little girl: “I was with daddy in the conference room.”
The soldiers swallowed: “I’ll see you later, lad. Good luck!”
They patted the shoulder of the soldier, who was holding her. He replied: “Thanks a lot, people!”
The little girl: “Don’t worry, I won’t let daddy yell at you. I’ll go into the room by myself.”
The soldier: “No, he will get angry if he finds out we left you alone after seeing you walk around at this hour.”
The soldier walked towards the conference room and opened the door. He walked in unnoticed with a little girl half sleeping against the back of his head.
The room was filled with people and they were talking amongst each other. The soldier looked around and saw that Fluffy was lying on the King’s chair sleeping. The soldier picked Fluffy up and suddenly the talking stopped. Their attention was now focussed on him. He stood there with a pet in his hand, a girl on his shoulders and next to the King’s chair which is at the head of the long table.
The soldier smiled: “I’m sorry to have disturbed your meeting...”
One of the lords sitting at the table interrupted him: “So you didn’t come here to tell us why the king is letting us wait for this meeting?”
The soldier smiled: “No, I’m not. If you’re expecting that I’m going to fetch him and tell him to attend this meeting, I’m not planning to do so. I’m here to pick up Fluffy.”
“How rude! The king should punish this soldier for his language.”
The little girl said: “You are the ones being rude. The king has been standing there in the shadows and you haven’t greeted him yet.”
The soldier stared into the shadows and bowed, than he said: “Good night.”
The soldier walked out of the meeting room and said: “I found Fluffy, I’ll bring you back to your room.”
The little girl smiled: “Thank you, Lantis. Dad, was standing there the whole time I guess he thought I would come into the room alone to pick up Fluffy. He was smiling, when he saw you.”
Lantis swallowed: “As long as he isn’t going to kill me. I’m fine with the smile.”
The little girl smiled: “No, he was in a good mood.”
Lantis put the little girl down in front of her bedroom: “Next time, when you can’t find Fluffy at this hour make sure you come directly to us, ok? You shouldn’t wander around alone till you are old enough to wander around at this hour.”
The little girl smiled: “You’re not my father.”
He put his hand on Gylde’s head: “Yes, I know that Gylde.”
Gylde smiled: “But you’re my friend, so I’ll remember that for next time.”
Gylde opened the door and said: “Good night, Lantis.”
The little girl could finally go to sleep, but while she slept hell went loose. Her worried father punished the lords for being inpatient. After calming down, he addressed his high ranked soldiers. Luckily for them the meeting was in between. If not they would have been punished and tortured. Never the less, Gylde found her pet Fluffy and has a happy ending but she should know that little girls should stay in bed and look for their lost things the next morning! Rawr!!!
