When I was a child I asked “Why” a lot and during primary school I even asked a boy: “Why are you being mean? Why do you only do that to me? Do you like me?” It turned out the boy did like me, but I was too young to even think about the words “Love”. Still, it was enlightening to be able to ask that and receive a straight answer. The “flirting” game is fun, but when do you decide to ask whether the other person “likes” you? Which line can you cross as an adult to receive a direct answer?
Leaning
Have you ever watched the movie “While you were sleeping?” There is a scene in the movie where a man and a woman discuss about “leaning”. Leaning forward is usually done by a man. He has one of his hands against a wall or on a table, while he leans slightly forward towards the other person. Usually they make such a move to show that they have interest in the other person.
Anyway in the movie, it was a very short scene, the guy leans over a girl to make a point that she “leaned”. The guy demonstrates it to the girl and all of a sudden another guy, her neighbour, who also likes her says: “Hey Louse, is this guy bothering you?”
She replies with a smile: “No, No.”
Neighbour: ”Are you sure? Because it looks like he is leaning.”
She laughs and the other guy says: “Thank you.”
The other guy turns to her: “See.”
Neighbour: “I’ll be right over here, if you need me.”
She smiles: “Ok, thank you very much.”
Neighbour: “I know karate.”

It was quite a funny scene, then again the whole movie was fun to watch.
Twinkling eyes, a Smile
In animation movies you see people with twinkling eyes, they glare into the eyes of the one they like and you see the two twinkles paired with a smile. You might think, why am I discussing the smile, twinkling eyes and leaning? I experienced it today... Yes, I’m a girl where a guy leaned a bit forward to and smiled at with twinkling eyes. We were talking and standing quite close too... A bit too close for my comfort... No, it was not enough to make my adrenaline shoot up and yelling: “RUuuunnn!!!” I stayed calm and actually thought the twinkling must be because of the lamps in the room and the leaning on the table, he is holding a beer in the other hand so it is more comfortable to stand like that…
This deduction would not have counted if the environment was a café or a dance party it would have obviously been an interest of more than just “like”. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Drinking after a training and chatting about whatever. The bye or more like see ya was kind of strange too. We have met each other before, why are you shaking my hand? Oh well, I guess I’ll find out another time whether he likes me or not *sticks out tongue*. Oh, you want to know how he looks like? He is cute, even with a stubble beard and you can find him on the internet. PM me if you want to know who I’m talking about *Teehee*.
